Route an official Macon County request according to the record and court involved:
- Docket or case lookup: use the local docket search for Circuit or General Sessions, then verify with the clerk
- Court date: review the court schedule route and call the clerk before relying on a setting
- Certified copy: request it from the clerk who keeps the original case file
- Circuit or General Sessions record: contact Circuit Court Clerk Rick Gann at the Justice Center
- Chancery record: contact Clerk and Master Kristin Reid because Chancery is not presented as part of the county portal
- Juvenile or municipal record: use the Juvenile clerk or the named city court, since access and custody differ

The county lists Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to noon and 1:00 to 4:30 p.m. The clerk site instead lists weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with lunch from noon to 1:00, so call before visiting.
